The Academic Board responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Developing and reviewing the policies and procedures on all academic matters of the school, including but not limited to academic quality assurance measures;
Facilitating the implementation of and compliance with such policies and procedures and
Approval of courses and teachers for any course(s) offered or provided by the school.
Providing academic oversight throughout the school;
Developing and setting directions, standards, provides academic leadership and educational ethos for all programme offerings;
Imbuing a strong culture of tertiary education for students
Overseeing students’ performance and graduate outcomes (including bench-marking)
The Examination Board responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Security of examination scripts and answer scripts
Conduct of examinations and assessments
Duties and responsibilities of invigilators and markers
Moderation of examination and assessment marks and
Handling of appeals from students with regard to examination or assessment matters.
Review the examination related policies and procedures at least once a year
Examination Board members must make every effort to participate in the Examination Board responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
Should any board member find that they have a conflict of interest in any business before the Examination Board, they must so declare that conflict and recuse themselves from that business.
